Community Physiotherapist
Duration: Temporary, 3 months (high possibility of extension)
Location: Staffordshire
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 16:30pm,
Rate: £17-£23 via an umbrella company
Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Community Physiotherapist on behalf of a reputable NHS Trust based in Staffordshire. This is an interim contract for 3 months offering £21-£27 via an umbrella company. For this position, you will be working full-time hours (Monday to Friday) but may also consider part-time applicants as well.
Outline duties below:

Working on your own as a registered practitioner within the established multidisciplinary team you will undertake a community Physiotherapy role

Assessing, identifying and agreeing goals and treatments plans using diagnosis and evidence based treatment programmes to meet a wide variety of patient needs in the most appropriate community location e.g. patients’ own homes

Predominantly doing face to face assessments in the community

Responsible for their own caseload and will be required to work without direct supervision

Supervising and modifying treatment programmes to rehabilitation technicians contributing to the patient’s goals and outcomes implement, evaluate, analyse and adjust treatment programmes according to the patient and carer needs, which may be complex

Acting as a source of spontaneous and planned clinical expertise giving appropriate advice and guidance for the patient, carers, other professionals within health, education, social services and the voluntary and private sectors, within safe practice guidance and referral to senior physiotherapist as appropriate

Provide and receive complex information relating to patients’ diagnosis; treatment and long term rehabilitation outcomes to patients; their carer’s and the multidisciplinary team

Using communication tools to gain informed consent and rapport with patients where there may be difficulty with effective communication e.g. limited comprehension altered perception, pain, fear, and/or those who may be unable to accept diagnosis in such a way that the patient understands their diagnosis and expectations for independent function and to agree goals

Re-evaluating patient conditions which may change as a result of pathological processes, aging and the effects of treatment

Assessing and reflect on current practices and identify and lead on changes in clinical and working practices to ensure that recognised ‘best practice’ is implemented

Demonstrating exercises and teaching of facilitation of functional mobility through manual handling techniques sometimes in individuals homes which may be inadequate, cramped, cluttered or dirty environments, sometimes with unexpected situation
