Interim Community Safety Lead
Based in North London, hybrid working
Length: 3 Months
Rate: £450 per day UMB Inside IR35
An exciting position has arisen for an interim Community Safety Lead for a North London local authority. The role will involve delivery and leadership of the Community Safety Portfolio across the council and throughout the borough.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Community Safety Lead:
- Lead the Community Safety Partnership, ensuring it meets statutory and legislative requirements
- Taking an effective problem-solving and support approach to crime reduction and incident response
- Able to operate at professional and grass-roots level
- Provide both leadership and operational support as the key advisor to optimise relationships between all organisations including the police, Home Office and Health
- To direct and engage in partnerships with local voluntary and community organisations
- Responsible for overseeing grants administration, procurement and commissioning of community safety solutions
Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Community Safety Lead:
- Held a job within the community Safety remit or within the Police Force having gained understanding of Community Safety work
- Consolidated knowledge of policies, legislation and statutory frameworks corresponding to Community Safety
- Enhanced DBS
- Be politically astute with a strong understanding of successfully working and understanding political structure and involved members
- Highly resilient and can successfully delivery on community safety vision and plans
