Interim Community Safety Partnership Manager
Based in Berkshire, hybrid 2 days in the office per week
Length: 3 months Initially
IR35: Inside IR35
The interim Community Safety Manager will be responsible for leading the Community Safety Partnership within the council ensuring it meets the statutory responsibilities within the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act 2004.
Key Responsibilities and experience required of the Community Safety Partnership Manager:
- Ensure that the Community Safety Partnerships performs its statutory duties and responds to changes within legislation and policy
- Develop and lead on multi-agency Domestic Abuse work and manage specialist officers within the Domestic Abuse Services
- Act as the single point of contact to the regional Police Violence Reduction Unit
- Responsible for recommissioning and contract management of the Domestic Abuse contracts
- Establish, maintain and present performance reports, strategies and partnership agreements relating to local and national objectives within the council and wider Safer Partnership scheme
- Oversee and regularly report to the relevant Boards
Desired skills and Experience of the Community Safety Partnership Manager:
- Requires an enhanced DBS check
- Successful and demonstratable experience of working within the Community Safety Remit or within the Police Force, having gained an understanding of Community Safety work
- Knowledge of Domestic Abuse strategies and legislation including Domestic Homicide Reviews
