Interim Corporate Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering
Location: London, hybrid (mostly remote)

A fantastic opportunity for an Interim Corporate Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering has arisen with one of our clients to join a fast-paced service area and lead on the organisation’s budget setting and medium term financial strategy.
Role responsibilities of the Interim Corporate Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering include:
- Where required, managing devolved budgets and resources in order to support the delivery of intended outcomes and demonstrate value for money
- Providing support to the Assistant Director of Finance and stepping up as and when necessary
- Looking after a team of business partners across the organisation
- Developing and controlling the medium term financial plan (revenue budget) and ensuring the revenue budget supports delivery of the corporate plan
- Supporting core financial processes and activities for revenue and capital budgets, including financial planning and budgeting, financial management and monitoring activities, and financial year end processes
- Acting as the service gateway to the Shared Finance Service ensuring stakeholders have appropriate access to high quality professional advice and expertise from across the Shared Finance Service
- Analysing complex data and information sources to interpret legislative or policy changes that impact on financial planning
The Interim Corporate Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering will have:
- Previously successfully managed or provided strategic business partner support to stakeholders in a local government organisation
- Experience of successfully managing MTFP/budget setting processes in a large local authority and managing a team
- Experience of delivering a finance service within a shared service or to multiple organisations simultaneously
- Completed a relevant professional qualification and experience at Senior Finance Manager/Head of Service level
