Credit Control Administrator
A London based University are looking for a Credit Control & Income Administrator to join their team on an interim contract. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for student finance queries, ensure accurate financial records, and support the smooth running of the University’s financial processes. This is your chance to play a key role in shaping the student experience while developing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job duties:
- Act as the first point of contact for student debtor queries, ensuring prompt and accurate resolutions
- Proactively manage and chase student debt, negotiating repayment arrangements in line with University policy
- Maintain accurate student financial records, including discounts, scholarships, awards, and sponsor contributions
- Liaise with internal departments, the Student Loans Company, and external agencies to resolve payment issues
- Process invoices, refunds, and payments, ensuring compliance with University financial regulations
- Provide excellent customer service at enrolment, via email, phone, and face-to-face contact, maintaining clear audit trails and records
Candidate profile:
- Proven experience in credit control, ideally within the Education or Public Sector
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, students, and other stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of sales ledger management and fundamental accounting principles.
Job information:
- Hourly rate: £17 - £18
- Hours per week: 35
- Contract: 6 months temporary
- Hybrid working: 1 day on site, 4 days working from home
