Locum Civil & Criminal Lawyer – 3 months + – Predominantly Remote Working – Full Time – Home Counties
Position: Locum Civil & Criminal Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: Home Counties based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months + with the possibility of extension thereafter
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: Predominantly remote working, Court attendance when required
Hourly Rate: Up to £60 per hour Umbrella
The ideal candidate will have at experience in handling Prosecutions & Licensing matters and can demonstrate prior experience working on behalf of Local Authorities.
Duties may include:
- Manage a caseload and provide legal advice on a wide mix of Civil & Criminal Litigation to include Prosecutions, Taxi/Premises Licensing, Housing, Homelessness & Employment
- Conduct Case Preparation and case management of allocated cases for Court purposes and liaise with the relevant Clients from various departments within the Local Authority
- Act as advocate on behalf of Local Authority at Magistrates Court, whilst also reviewing work to ensure work is completed to a high standard
- Covering a mix of Housing Law focusing on Housing (possessions and injunctions), ASB, homelessness and Disrepair claims, unauthorised encampments – Magistrates Court procedure
