Venn Group is working with a university who require a Programme Manager on a contract basis to manage and oversee the various cyber security requirements and projects.

Day rate: dependent on experience  

Location: remote with the odd requirement to go on site as when the project demands it

Length: 6 months (highly likely to be extended)

Job duties:

• Programme management of the Cyber Security roadmap of projects
• Specify and plan programmes including constituent projects, objectives, vision, scope, budget, and resources
• Manage programme activities in accordance with programme plans
• Manage projects in accordance with project plans
• Assure programme delivery in terms of time, budget, and quality
• Manage project and programme resources as required
• Ensuring that programmes are aligned with the IT departments strategies
• Report on programmes and projects as required
• Maintain and manage risks and issues associated with programmes and projects
• Maintain and report on programme and project budgets

The successful candidate will:

• Significant experience of managing projects and programmes
• Experience delivering cyber security related projects and/or technologies preferably within a university
• Significant experience of building, managing, motivating, and improving a team of project managers
• Significant experience of working with third parties to deliver IT solutions
• Experience of using Microsoft SharePoint
• Experience with using Microsoft Project Online as a tool for managing projects and programmes
• Excellent stakeholder and communication skills
