Deputy Head of FM & Project Manager required for an immediate start
Location: Thames Valley
On Call: 1 in 5 weekly rotation
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Lead all project-related activity managing all departmental capital projects for renovation or alterations to the existing departmental estate, overseeing all process improvement / optimisation projects and liaising with key stakeholders
- Hold overall responsibility for the soft facilities team and functions including conferencing
- Direct line management of the Office Facilities Manager, four Receptionists and two Events Coordinators
- Responsible for all aspects of the management of departmental building projects including planning, budgeting, delivery and health and safety compliance
- Working with the other managers and supervisors in the Facilities Team to ensure that staff get the service required to enable them to carry out their business as usual duties
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with contractors and service providers
- Negotiate and manage building, renovation or alteration projects
- Ensure compliance with all project-related Health and Safety including CDM Compliance for all new builds, alterations and demolition
Essential Requirements:
- Educated to HNC / NVQ4 level in a Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services related subject and/or an equivalent professional qualification
- Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects and people in both a hard and soft facilities role, successfully line managing both technical and support staff responsible for a wide range of hard and soft services
