Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Director of Communications & Engagement for a Public Sector Organisation based in Birmingham. This is a permanent contract offering an annual salary of £90,000 to £110,000 per annum (Plus 20% flex).
This will be a hybrid role, 1 – 2 days on site per week in London.
The successful candidate will have experience delivering strategic objectives and liaising with senior external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically lead, and be accountable for, the communications and engagement function providing professional advice, expertise and leadership on all aspects of external communications, staff and stakeholder engagement and, brand and marketing
- Advise on all aspects of protecting and enhancing the reputation of all the Partners involved in its delivery and development
- Direct and embed the Communication and Engagement Directorate function with accountability for its strategic development, outputs and outcomes across each of the functional areas
- Drive forward a programme of integrated activities by leading the co-ordination and alignment of key communication and engagement activities and outputs across the project
- Lead the management of key communication and engagement interfaces, facilitating collaboration, manage competing agendas and resolve conflicts across Euston and its partners
- Lead the development of key stakeholder relationships, partnerships and projects that are identified and aligned to the strategic priorities of the Partners, that will help to release the early benefits and social value of the project
- Drive forward a place-based brand for the project that looks to create interest and excitement in what is taking place in the area and that the local community can be proud
- Oversee the structures and community engagement practices across all delivery partners’ organisations and contractors, championing a culture that strives to deliver best practice, innovation and creativity in the engagement space.
- Lead and Chair the Communication and Engagement Panel, attend and support the Community Scrutiny Panel, and support any other key working groups that are established as part of the formal and informal governance process.
