Venn Group have been approached by a support organisation and would like to introduce the following position available

Position:          Disability and Inclusion Adviser

Location:         Manchester

Rate:               £20-£24 (Umbrella) per hour                       

Length:            3 months       

Hours:             22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE) across 3 days: Tuesday-Thursday

The role will predominantly involve:

• Managing a caseload of individual casework and providing specialist individually tailored one-to-one support to disabled students and relevant colleagues
• Responsible for developing Learning Support Plans for applicants and students
• Conducting one-to-one assessments of students’ study support needs
• Creating support packages to disabled students through 1-1 appointments
• Identifying required reasonable adjustments required, create Learning Support Plans for academic colleagues, support students with applications for Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA) and other relevant funding, and complete Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs)
• Completing Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) screenings and refer for diagnostic assessments, where appropriate
• Developing (and training staff on) an Inclusive Curriculum
• Holding and managing weekly well-being drop in sessions for students

The successful candidate must have an Enhanced DBS, and previous experience in a similar role
