Executive Assistant to the CEO Immediately Required
Duration: Permanent
Location: Warwickshire
Hours: 37 Full Time Term Time
Pay Rate: £33,610 per annum
An opening has arisen for an Executive Assistant to the CEO to be based in Warwickshire. Said individual provide first class professional, comprehensive and strategic executive support to the CEO of the College to ensure delivery of the college objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing professional, comprehensive and strategic executive support to the Group Principal & Chief Executive to ensure the delivery of college objectives
- Efficiently and effectively managing the day-to-day operation of the Executive Office, including line management of a Personal Assistant to Members of the Senior Leadership Team
- Maintaining a professional interface with key external stakeholders, including Ministers, MPs LEPs, Local Authorities, Funding Agencies and the wider political landscape on a local, regional and national basis, demonstrating an ability to adapt and respond appropriately to the diverse nature and level of contacts
- Supporting the CEO in a wide range of settings internal and external to WCG
- Proactively managing the CEO’s electronic calendar, mailbox and operational obligations.
- Developing an awareness of the external operating environment and maintain an external
- perspective in support of the CEO
- Working effectively with the Senior Leadership team, College Management team, Governors
- and President
- Working closely with the Clerk of the Governing Body to support governance of the College and discharge of responsibilities ensuring that:
- Communication and the relationship between the Governing Body and the Group
- Principal & Chief Executive is clear and consistent
- High quality Board reports and presentations are submitted within agreed timescales
- Confidentiality is maintained at all times
- Ensuring effective management of the Executive Office Budget and proactively seek opportunities to reduce costs
- Facilitating staff engagement and culture change by supporting the CEO with the production of key messages to staff and other stakeholders
- Assisting where necessary in the arrangement of staff meetings which suit the needs of the SLT and staff at all of the Colleges and are responsive to any feedback received
- Ensuring that the CEO is aware of relevant requests from staff, and vice versa, by managing an even flow of information in an appropriate manner
- Proactively seek opportunities to facilitate engagement with students and student-led activities through interactive involvement with the Student Parliament and Council, ensuring that the views of the CEO are heard and engagement is managed accordingly
- Proactively organise and contribute to the production of speeches, presentations and papers etc., as appropriate, to the receiving audience, i.e. Ministerial visits, staff meetings, events, graduations etc.
- Accompany and represent the CEO externally as appropriate
