Interim Early Years and Wraparound Transformation Lead
Based in a London Borough
Length: 2-year FTC
Salary Range: £53,109 - £56,151 per annum
An opportunity has arisen within a London local Authority for an interim Early Years and Wraparound Transformation Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Early Years team on the Child Care Sufficiency mapping and lead on the Government’s ambitious programme to implement wraparound childcare for primary school aged children.
Key Responsibilities and experience required of the Early Years and Wraparound Transformation Lead:
- Lead on the review and improvement of the existing Self Evaluation Framework
- Undertake the mapping of current wraparound provision across the local authority, consulting with parents/carers, providers, and children about demand for childcare
- Provide business planning and marketing advice and guidance to new and existing early years childcare providers and schools to develop, support and sustain childcare provision for children from reception to year six
- Work closely with our finance officer and providers to complete funding applications and business plans to support development of high-quality, sustainable provision
- Provide ongoing monitoring, advice, support and challenge providers to ensure high quality inclusive practice is maintained and any improvements are monitored
- Work collaboratively within the local authority and with key external agencies to ensure joined up partnership working to meet individual needs of children and families
- Assess, plan, deliver and review transformation activity, from start to finish, based on robust analysis, service design and delivery models, robust market development and effective performance/contract management
Desired skills and experience of the Early Years and Wraparound Transformation Lead:
- Previous experience working within a contracts/commissioning development role
- Understanding of existing and emerging Early Years legislation and regulations
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and quality frameworks for wraparound childcare
