We’re working with a Dorset based Council who are looking for an Educational Psychologist interim to join their team.
A Senior Educational Psychologist is required to play a key leadership role within an Educational Psychology Service, supporting children and young people aged 0–25 to achieve positive educational and wellbeing outcomes. This post combines direct professional expertise with service leadership, line management and strategic development, while maintaining a strong focus on advocacy, inclusion and the voice of the child.
Role: Educational Psychologist
Location: Dorset
Set-up: Remote – occasional in-person assessments may be required
Rate: £650/day via umbrella, inside IR35
Duration: 40+ weeks (as long as there is requirement)
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the operational management of Educational Psychology Service delivery, including reviewing efficiency, impact and outcomes
- Contributing to the evaluation, development and strategic direction of the service, ensuring high-quality and effective provision
- Ensuring the provision of high-quality psychological advice, including for Education, Health and Care processes
- Providing psychological insight and advice across Children’s Services, including close working with SEND services
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology and eligibility for Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as an Educational Psychologist
- Proven experience of delivering a broad range of EP work, including consultation-based and solution-focused approaches
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, inclusion, child development and evidence-based psychological practice
- Ability to travel as required and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
