Job Title: Electrical Compliance Surveyor

Venn Group has been approached by an established contractor to recruit for an Electrical Compliance Surveyor on a temporary 3 month ongoing basis. Please be advised travel will be involved with this role.
As the successful candidate, you will have experience working in a similar role.
The duties will include:

Responsible for carrying out electrical compliance surveys on social housing properties

Ensure the successful commissioning, contract and performance management of compliance work programmes and maintenance contracts (which can include; electrical domestic & communal compliance, maintenance and servicing works, fire prevention systems, lightning conductor servicing, working at height systems, renewable energy, automatic doors and gates, and / or other related programmes).

Contribute to the development of the Group’s Asset Management Strategy including identification of long term investment planning requirements to inform current and future programming and budget requirements

Ensure that an effective asset register / database is operational for all work programmes and that an auditable change control process is in place to respond to stock and programme changes

Prepare detailed service specifications and support the delivery of effective procurement approaches in order to secure the required services whilst contributing to the Group’s value for money objectives and delivering a customer focused service

Ensure proactive management of appointed Electrical Works/Testing contractors (including Property Services) ensuring they meet KPIs and support the Group in achieving full compliance.

Ensure that effective cost management processes are in place including accurate financial forecasting, detailed consultant and contractor financial terms and conditions, regular expenditure monitoring including arranging valuations and reconciliations as well as ensuring payment arrangements are undertaken in accordance with Group Policy and contractual conditions

Support the annual quality control regime for all relevant work programmes including appropriate monitoring checks, audits and site inspections as well as collation of stakeholder feedback

Ensure appropriate risk management approaches are in place to address all related health and safety compliance obligations and to operate as the Client for the purposes of the CDM 2015 Regulations ensuring all parties have clearly defined roles and are fulfilling their obligations

18th Edition

2391 in testing and inspection

BSc in Surveying would be desirable

HNC in Electrical Engineering or Design would be desirable
