Enhanced Housing Officer Opportunity
A well-known Housing Association who provides homes in London and the Home Counties are currently recruiting for an Enhanced Housing Officer on a temporary contract.
You’ll be required to provide an intense management function across 55+ housing schemes. You will manage tenancy allocations, terminations and sustainment as well as managing the repairs and maintaining the Health and Safety checks in line with policies
Length: 2 – 3 months
Location: Dunstable and Beford
Hours: 35 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £15-16 per hour
The role involves:
- To play a lead role in the assessment of suitable applicants and in relation to the allocation and maintenance of residents’ tenancies
- To manage and oversee scheme repairs & improvements
- To ensure that the scheme is kept in good order and clear of clutter
- To complete risk assessments when required
- Respond to complaints
- To oversee the gardening and cleaning contractors dealing with any issues that arise
- Manage tenancy issues ASB, evictions, rent arrears
- Promote the scheme to the local community and wider
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance checks are completed
- Be involved in the service charge setting process
- Operate in accordance with policies and procedures
About you:
- You will be totally committed to delivering excellent customer experience – being easy, reliable and empathetic in the way you deal with customers and colleagues
- Experience of working in a housing role, preferably with older people
- Willingness to travel and ability to drive
- An enhanced DBS from within 3 years or willingness to obtain a new role
