Estates Operational Lead

Location: Exeter, Devon

Length: Temp – Perm

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon – Fri

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Responsible for the operational management of building and engineering services for the organisation and for management of the organisation’s estate, including staff management
• Act as the lead individual for estates services providing expert specialist and professional building and engineering expertise to all estates staff
• Hold overall responsibility for ensuring that engineering maintenance, including contract work, is carried out to appropriate standards and specifications ensuring that the buildings, engineering systems and grounds are safe, well maintained, fit for purpose and available for their intended use
• Ensure that the organisations estate complies with Statutory Legislation and Codes of Practice,
• Undertake Authorised Person responsibilities in relation to specified systems
• Deputise in the absence for the Head of Estates

Essential requirements:

• You will hold a membership of professional organisation e.g. CIBSE, IEE, IMechE, IHEEM. etc. or actively progressing registered status
• Extensive experience in operational estate management and maintenance management at a senior level
• Authorised Person experience or equivalent for engineering installations or systems
• Hold a full, UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
