Job Title: Estates Project Manager - Development (Remote)

As an Estates Project Manager, the post holder will play a key role in the implementation of the Trust Estates Strategy. Responsible for the management and delivery of transformational strategic development projects in both the operational and corporate Trust estate.
The estates manager is a key central role which supports the implementation of Trust Estate Strategy. The role requires a highly capable individual who is able to build and maintain excellent relationships and to be a self-starter in a dynamic environment to deliver a variety of property projects
The successful candidate must have experience in working within the NHS
Project & duties will include:

Strategic development of the trusts estate, including delivery of the hub and spoke model for the operational estate

Lead on the delivery of all major strategic estate developments, both operational and corporate

Lead on all contractual property matters for the Trust (acquisitions, lease negotiations, renewals etc.)

Lead on all projects relating to the rationalisation / disposal of the older estate.

A key contributor to the Trusts Green Plan and carbon reduction, and particularly for ensuring that the development of the Trust’s estate is conducted in a manner that reduces environmental impact and long-term costs

Post COVID-19 it is expected that organisations shall need to adapt to new ways of working and new delivery models. As a senior member of the property team it is expected that the post holder shall provide a significant contribution to the management of any transitions required

Responsible for delegating revenue and capital budgets to make sure that the service is delivered within budget and that the Trust’s SFI’s are met

Accountable for the delivery of all contractor works carried out on behalf of the Trust and to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and other acts of parliament

Lead the team of professional contractors in the development and delivery of capital projects of c£1M and over
Essential Skills/Qualifications

Degree in building or construction related discipline

Professional membership in a recognised building or construction body

Full UK Driving Licence and Own Transport
-
Standard DBS to be completed if successful
