Finance Business Partner - Permanent Opportunity

Permanent Finance Business Partner 

We are currently working on a permanent opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join a Council in the Midlands. The successful candidate will assist the Head of Finance and have management over their Payments team.

This permanent position allows for hybrid working with a significant remote working component. The authority has family friendly policies which allow for flexible working. Whilst previous Local Authority experience would be an advantage, they are also open to candidates who have wider public sector experience.

Responsibilities 
• Line management of the payment team (3 FTE)
• Annual budget setting and business planning processes
• Liaising with 17 budget holders to explain key variances to budget
• To Meet and liaise with the organisation’s partner associations 
• Monitoring of cost savings plans
• The accurate payment of third parties
• Manage and undertake robust financial modelling

Requirements
• Qualified member of a chartered accounting body
• Minimum of two years of staff management
