About the Role:
As a Finance Data Validation and Democratisation Business Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our client's data transformation journey. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of financial data across the organization, driving initiatives that democratize data for better decision-making and enhanced business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Validation: Lead efforts to validate financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Data Democratisation: Develop and implement strategies that enhance data accessibility across the organization, empowering teams with reliable and timely financial information.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance, IT, and business units to understand data needs, ensure alignment with business objectives, and facilitate seamless data integration.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in data handling processes and propose solutions to enhance data quality and usability.
- Reporting & Insights: Generate reports and insights that provide clear visibility into data quality metrics, helping to drive informed decision-making.
- Project Support: Collaborate with project teams on data-related initiatives, providing expertise on data validation, governance, and democratization processes.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services sector, with a strong focus on data validation and democratization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CFA) are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management tools and platforms, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with finance systems is desirable.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
