Interim Finance Business Partner

The interim Finance Business Parter will lead on FBP activities across Adult Social Care, which will involve liaising with multiple stakeholders, across large and varied budgets
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Business Partner:
- Lead small projects and implement changes and improvements within agreed cost, time and quality standards
- Responsible for team budget of approximately £0.7m - £1m
- Provide direct line management of 1-5 staff and be responsible for a team of 10-20 staff to deliver activities focussed on financial inclusion and resident support
- Lead the ASC Finance team to provide financial assessments and inclusion services to Sutton residents
- Support officers and Councillors to develop effective strategies and policies that adopt a financial inclusion approach to supporting residents and empower residents to successfully manage their personal finances
- Ensure that Care Act 2014 statutory guidance include deferred payment, direct payment financial assessments and appointeeship are followed and adhered to in accordance with this legislation
Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Finance Business Partner:
- Experience of managing complex casework
- Knowledge and experience of working with local or national ASC services, or health services
- Experience of working with vulnerable clients
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2015, the Mental Capacity Act 2015 and the Homelessness Prevention Act 2018
- In depth knowledge and understanding of welfare reform and Universal Credit, as well as the operation of Housing Benefits
- Experience of building effective working relationships with senior officers and elected officials
- Experience and understanding of the Mental Capacity Act as it relates to property and finances
