Finance Manager (Part Time)

Venn Group is currently working with a School based in Surrey who are recruiting for a Finance Manager on a flexible part time basis to work alongside the Bursar and other Managers in the school to head up the schools finance function.
Salary: £30,000 actual (£50,000 pro rata)
Location: Surrey
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 24 hours per week (flexible)
Job responsibilities:

Oversee the accounts team (circa 5 staff) preparing, analysing and explaining financial and management information

Day to day responsibility for the management of the School’s financial resources

Attend Committee meetings and prepare reports on the School’s financial position

Produce termly management accounts and annual statutory accounts

Prepare and agree annual budgets with other managers throughout the School

Monitor and control the School’s cash position
-
Prepare and distribute end of term bills to parents

Collect fees and chase outstanding payments

Ensure suppliers are paid on a timely basis

Oversee the monthly payroll run

Undertake specific costing projects as and when required

Supervise the work of the Assistant Bursar
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a similar position
-
Relevant accounting qualification, CIMA, ACA, or ACCA
-
Previous experience working in the education sector is desirable
