FINANCE OFFICER
An exciting position has arisen for a Finance Officer to work for an excellent West London Community Based Charity to provide some critical support. The focus of this role is to ensure accurate financial processing of purchase and sales ledger invoices and preparation of payment reports for approval. The post holder will be responsible for taking the accounts to trial balance level and production of quarterly Management Accounts and assisting in annual budget process.
Key responsibilities:
- To process purchase ledger invoices
- Prepare weekly payment files for approval in line with payment terms and sending remittances to suppliers
- Prepare customer invoices for investment properties
- Maintain ledgers to Trial Balance level
- Monthly bank reconciliations and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and settlement of inter-ledger balances
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts in line with organisational schedules
- Overview of cash flow requirements to ensure funds are available to meet debts as they fall due- liaise with lay treasures as required
- Produce draft quarterly management accounts from the accounting system for review by Treasurers
- To ensure all income and associated costs and services are visible within the organisation
Successful candidate profile:
- Qualified AAT or working towards a professional qualification or qualified by experience
- System skills including Sage/Xero and intermediate Excel
- Experience of working in the charitable sector
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role
