FINANCE OFFICER

We are seeking a skilled Finance Officer – Account Receivable to join one of London’s top performing Colleges. This position is a permanent role and will work as part of a team to ensure the accurate processing, recording and collection of income through the credit control system.

Job Title: Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable

Annual salary: £26,460 to £28,806

Contract type: Full-time, permanent

Location: Uxbridge (but willingness to travel to other sites when required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoice requests, ensuring correct coding, VAT treatment, and issue sales invoices on financial systems
• Complete invoicing
• Receive and allocate invoice payments
• Follow debt collection procedures, ensuring timely payments through communication and meetings
• Prepare and review monthly aged debt reports
• Reconcile debtors monthly
• Regularly check records, process invoices, credit notes, and receipts, and import them into financial system, investigating discrepancies
• Resolve debts and queries from the Student Loan Company and Advance Learner Loan portals
• Handle customer queries and process student refunds promptly

Requirements:

• Studying for AAT or CCAB
• Experience working in an Accounts Receivable role
• Experience using financial systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working in the Education sector would be advantageous not essential
• The post holder will have to hold a current enhanced DBS check or be willing to have one undertaken
