A large multi entity faith based Organisation are looking for a brilliant Financial Control Accountant to produce statutory accounts for various entities. The postholder will have to be technically strong with experience managing a team.
Your duties will include:
- Producing statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors at year end
- Managing the month end close processes and performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting the Financial Accountants with tasks related to the preparation of financial statements for the larger entities
- Reviewing the year-end trial balances and analysing key variances with previous years to identify potential omissions
- Supporting the Financial Accountants to manage the external audit process, undertaking a project management style approach to managing relevant task lists / audit queries and outstanding items
- Managing the month end timetable to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensuring all journals are uploaded into the finance system for approval in compliance with the journals policy and month end deadlines
- Overseeing the management of monthly intercompany journal postings and preparation of intercompany reconciliations
- Managing training and performance of the team individually and collectively, monitoring performance, providing regular feedback and encouraging initiative and ideas
Candidate profile:
- Newly qualified or part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Extensive financial accounting experience
- Experience of managing accounting staff
- Excellent finance system skills
- Advanced Excel user
Length: Permanent
Salary: £46,000 - £47,000 per annum + excellent benefits
Hours: full time
Location: Central London
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days pw in Office
