Permanent Vacancy – Financial Controller

Location: Dunstable, LU5 (on-site working with some travel)

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday (37 hours per week)

Salary: £58,079 – £64,464, dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced and committed Financial Controller to join a dedicated Finance Team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will oversee and manage all financial operations, including line management of the finance team. This is a key leadership role ensuring financial stability, accountability, and efficiency in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the central finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee financial management and reporting, including preparation of monthly and annual accounts.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
• Drive process improvements and integration of financial systems.

Person Specification

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Significant experience in financial management within education, non-profit, or similar sectors.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High proficiency in financial software and Excel.
