Job description: A local authority in South Yorkshire is looking for a Fostering Reviewing Officer / Children’s Social Worker to ensure the Local Authority achieves it duty in providing Foster Carers with an annual review. The role is to start at short notice on a temporary basis until the end of March with possibility of an extension
Duties:
- Undertake foster carer annual reviews using the CYPS Casework electronic management system and undertake a thorough review of all assets and create a refreshed asset database
- Co- work with Business support and Fostering service to ensure reviews are planned, arranged and undertaken and will provide written reports to meet timescales for annual reviewing, for fostering panel or the Agency Decision Maker
- Involve foster carer’s birth children and Household members (where relevant) and the looked after child’s social worker including those looked after children that had been placed in the preceding 12 months for the foster carer review
- Involve the voice of the Child looked after and where relevant the child’s birth Family in order to gather information for the foster carer reviews
- Make sure all information is gathered and stored securely in accordance with the GDPR and in keeping with company policy
- Ensure that all audits, records of reviews and action plans arising from the review meetings are electronically recorded and saved within the appropriate management information system
- Analyse information presented and assess the appropriateness of action plans, set and monitor milestones in the achievement of supporting and developing foster carers to provide positive outcomes for looked after children
- Advise workers and managers regarding effective planning and contribute to the production of high quality assessment and review processes and actions plans
The successful candidate should have:
- At least 5 years post qualification fieldwork experience with children and young people
- Professional qualification – DipSW, CQSW or equivalent.
- An enhanced DBS
Hourly Rate: £31.00 p/hour
