Service and Breakdown Gas Engineer

Location: Lancashire
Length: Long term contract
Rate: £24 - £27 per hour (CIS)
Venn Group is currently working with a leading housing association covering Preston, Blackburn and Leyland are looking for a Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer to join their team on an ongoing basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Diagnosing and repairing faults on domestic gas appliances and heating systems

Carrying out annual gas servicing in line with industry standards

Responding to emergency callouts and breakdowns in a timely manner

Working within occupied and void domestic properties across social housing stock

Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and internal procedures

Providing excellent customer service and liaising with tenants where necessary

Completing digital or paper-based certification and job reports
Essential Skills/Qualifications:

Valid ACS Gas Safe qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CPA1)

Proven experience in servicing and breakdowns within domestic settings

Full UK Driving Licence and own van & tools

Experience in social housing or local authority contracts is highly desirable
