Grounds and Gardens Supervisor – Birmingham

Salary:                       Based upon experience

Working pattern:       Monday to Friday-37.5 hr per week plus on call shifts paid

Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Grounds and Gardens Supervisor responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance on sites in Birmingham.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Grounds and Gardens Maintenance Service planned maintenance service for defined sites ensuring pre-agreed performance criteria are met
• To provide an effective communication between the Senior Estates Manager and the outsourced Grounds & Gardens Maintenance and to be responsible for ensuring the Contractor performs to the required standards through effective Contract Monitoring
• To monitor the performance of the outsourced Grounds and Gardens Maintenance service(s)
• Work alongside the Senior Facilities Manager, to co-ordinate activity, reduce costs and improve efficiency wherever possible
• Work alongside the Senior Facilities Manager to establish best practice and efficient working procedures

The successful candidate will have:

• Training in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds NVQ Level 3  Horticulture
• Relevant Qualifications (C&G or Equivalent to level 2 or level 3) i.e use of horticultural equipment e.g  chemical application, (PA1,2,6) chainsaws etc
• Previous significant, in-depth demonstrable knowledge of and experience in, Grounds & Gardens (including landscape & horticultural) Maintenance and effective supervision, monitoring and delivering of such.
