Health & Safety Manager wanted for an immediate start
Location: Oxfordshire
Length: Temporary - ongoing
Hours: 37 hours a week, Mon – Fri
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Ensuring effective policies, associated procedures and training packages are in place across the department
- Providing expert advice and guidance to all staff and support key organisational committees and groups
- Be responsible for all matters regarding essential core skills health and safety training, Risk Assessment training
- Act as a resource of evidence based knowledge to enable appropriate and timely incident investigation (all levels); identification, assessment, treatment and management for health and safety
- Manage incident reporting, including the follow up and reporting of significant actions and ensuring that staff involved in incidents are appropriately supported
- Support the review, follow up and management of staff incidents
- Advise and support managers on Health & Safety legislation, appraise Health & Safety risks and identify workplace hazards
- Provide effective control measures and monitor performance
- Review and advise the organisation on improvements to Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure they reflect current legislative requirements
Essential requirements:
- You must have experience of working within a similar position within commercially used buildings
- Hold a degree or other relevant Health & Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
