Handyman
A London based further education institute are currently recruiting for a Handyman (Fabric Maintenance) to assist the facilities management department in the upkeep and maintenance of their sites. This role is a great opportunity where the selected candidate will play a critical role in maintaining business functions.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for a variety of facilities management (FM) requirements, providing building users with an exemplary FM service, along proactive customer service
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance both internally and externally at the sites where manages the facilities
- Ensure that professional standards of competence are adhered to and are in accordance with the qualifications gained
- Uphold mandatory routines of examination
- Ensure that specialist sub contractors and other building designated engineers maintain high quality service delivery
- Make necessary arrangements to clear blockages, remove foreign matters from sinks, toilets drains and clean up spillages
Candidate profile:
- Industry recognised Facilities management qualification
- Experience of CAFM helpdesk systems
- Previous experience working within an estates and facilities department, as well as knowledge of hard and soft facilities management services
- Able to assess performance and provide constructive feedback
- Confident and competent when using Microsoft Office packages
Per Annum salary: £30,000-32,000
