Interim Head of Borough Partnerships
Based: London (hybrid working)
Length: 12 months initially with likelihood of extension

As part of how local authorities, NHS organisations and their partners should respond in the next phase of system development towards becoming formal Integrated Care Systems, we are supporting one of our clients to recruit an interim Head of Borough Partnerships. This newly created post is critical to the realisation of emergent plans for a successful place-based partnership system.
Key Responsibilities of the interim Head of Borough Partnerships include:
Managing a small team and being accountable to the Director of Adults, the Director of Integrated Care and the Director of Commissioning
Developing and leading a programme to establish the Partnership, building on existing thinking and the establishment of a clear delivery strategy, to support a reduction in health inequalities in the borough
Creating and implementing a framework of mutual accountability for the collective performance of the Partnership (health outcomes, quality of care, operational, financial) and using collective decision-making to co-ordinate remedial action from borough partners where necessary
Leading the ongoing development of governance arrangements and ways of working, including alignment with other key borough-level boards such as the HWBB; local Safeguarding Partnerships (Adults and Children’s) and the Community Safety Partnership
Skills and experience required of the interim Head of Borough Partnerships:
Demonstrable experience of driving successful programmes that have delivered improvements in wellbeing outcomes
Strong leadership and facilitation skills with experience in partnership working at a strategic level
Ability to build a consensus within a complex environment and work autonomously to drive change at pace
Evidence of considerable senior management experience within local government and/or NHS organisation
