Venn Group has been approached by an Academy Trust in Darlington to recruit for a Head of Estates and Facilities to join their expanding team 

The suitable candidate will have experience working in a similar role within a large organisation.     

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver works on a large portfolio of schools including Grade II listed buildings
• Development and implementation of strategies for estates, facilities and sustainability across the portfolio 
• Collaborate with local authorities ensuring work is completed within regulation 
• Working alongside principals and executive principals to support management of site teams 
• Ensuring operational maintenance is prioritised
• Work to ensure value for money and cost efficiency across all works streams 
• Coordination and procurement of estates and facilities contracts including (but not limited to) catering, utilities, waste and recycling and grounds maintenance

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Degree in a relevant field OR ability to demonstrate extensive equivalent experience 
• an appropriate formal qualification in Facilities Management 
• Strong prioritisation, planning, organisational and delegation skills 
• Strong change and project management skills 
• Substantial experience working in a senior position within estates and facilities management / asset management
