Job Opportunity – Head of Recruitment and Workforce Planning
Venn Group are currently working on a position with a highly regarded healthcare organisation, based in Buckinghamshire, to source a Head of Recruitment for the following assignment:

Location: Buckinghamshire (hybrid working, two days on site and three working remotely)
Contract: 12 months contract
Rate: £280.00 per day umbrella
Hours: full time
Your duties will include:
- Providing strategic direction leadership and line management to the Recruitment team and ensuring provision of a high-quality transactional service to the organisation and external candidates
- Leading the way in promoting flexible working opportunities and inclusivity in all recruitment activity
- Leading and line managing department leads ensuring they are engaged, understanding the direction and vision of the organisation and the aims of the service and strive to provide high quality services to our customers.
- Deputising for the Deputy Director of Workforce as required and to provide support and cross cover to other senior workforce colleagues
- Ensuring compliance with national guidance and appropriate employment law
- Commissioning and providing reports for managers to assist with informed decision making regarding workforce planning
- Ensuring the organisations candidate attraction strategies are well designed, targeted appropriately and which seek to attract the right candidates to the service, often within challenging labour markets, developing recruitment strategies and plans to facilitate this
- Considering the financial impact of strategic vacancy management and workforce profiling, work closely with finance and operational lead to ensure triangulation of workforce planning activity and delivery
- Taking responsibility, improving and sustaining improvements across a range of workforce metrics and ensuring effective workforce planning that interacts in a timely manner with the service. Holding your team to account for their role in supporting the delivery of this
- Actively promote the organisations Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda and Policy across the organisation
- Keeping abreast of the wider People agenda, national initiatives and assist the Deputy Director of Workforce in the development of the People Service
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous experience as a head of recruitment within a healthcare function
- Ability to interpret complex information and employment legislation and communicate the detail in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
- Ability to work independently and flexibly in order to effectively prioritise own and team’s workload
- Knowledge of immigration regulations
- Management of large marketing campaigns to source candidates
- CIPD qualification
