Interim Head of Strategic HR Partnering

Length: 3 months initially
A local authority in London is recruiting for an interim Head of Strategic HR Partnering to oversee the development of departmental people plans to ensure the workforce strategy is understood and incorporated at a local level, that staff feedback is
addressed and actioned and that workforce priorities are identified, planned, and delivered
ensuring consistency of approach and high service delivery levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the provision of HR Business Partnering, strategic workforce planning and early talent and apprenticeships
- Devise strategies for the wide planning and management of organisational design, organisational change, employee relations, resourcing and talent that meet current and future business needs and deliver the Council’s workforce strategy and directorate objectives
- Champion the use of qualitative and quantitative data, business insights and intelligence to underpin the development of evidence-based workforce plans. Exploit the use of digital technology to achieve success
- Lead on Projects and Programmes at a corporate or directorate level across the breadth of the HR portfolio including design, delivery, and evaluation
Skills and experience required:
- Have previous public sector experience
- Advanced CIPD qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
- Providing strategic business led advice that supports all aspects of change management and resourcing
