Health & Safety Advisor

Health & Safety Advisor required for an immediate start

Location:        North London  

Length:           3 – 6 months, temporary ongoing

Hours:             37.5 hours a week, Mon – Fri

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Support the Head of Compliance and Fire Safety Manager to ensure the Estates and Facilities Department conducts its activities in a safe manner
• Ensure the organisation meets its obligations under Health & Safety legislation and other regulatory requirements
• Deliver day-to-day operational expert health & safety advice, guidance, support, coaching and training in all aspects of health and safety across the division
• Promote, develop and establish a positive safety culture
• Ensure suitable systems are in place for monitoring and improving health and safety
• Undertake incident investigations, risk assessments and workplace inspections  
• Write reports and provide advice on all Health & Safety issues to staff and managers
• Delivery regular Health & Safety training
• Responsible for writing policy and guidance reports  

Essential requirements:

• You will be qualified with NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
• You will ideally be educated to master’s degree level or have equivalent substantial experience in Health & Safety
• You will have experience working within the NHS or a similar healthcare organisation
• Knowledege of fire safety will be advantageous for this role
