Health & Safety Manager

A position has arisen for a Health & Safety Manager within a highly regarded healthcare organisation based in Oxfordshire. This is a key role advising on Health & Safety regulations for a three month temporary, ongoing placement.
The successful candidate must have previous experience managing Health & Safety policies and procedures, preferably within a commercial environment.
Your duties will include:

Responsible for ensuring that the organisation has appropriate Health & Safety management policies, processes and systems in place

Develop and maintain training programmes and supporting documentation for all staff, Managers and Directors, ensuring that responsibilities are recognised and undertaken

Further develop the culture of Health & Safety across the organisation, reporting to the Head of Fire, Health & Safety to support this

Co-ordinate the relevant training of onsite and offsite staff

Review the organisation’s Health & Safety policies

Carry out audits and risk assessments and make changes where necessary

Ensure that the department has a robust risk management approach in place and that risks are recorded, and managed appropriately
The successful candidate should have:

Previous experience managing Health & Safety processes, preferably within a healthcare environment

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

A valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle

A DBS check will be required for this position
