Highways Inspection and Enforcement Officer 

We are working with a company in Leicestershire who require a Highways Inspection and Enforcement Officer for 12 months.

Details:
Rate: Negotiable hourly rate via umbrella company [Inside IR35]
Duration: Up to 12 months with extensions likely 
Hybrid working in Leicestershire for inspections but admin can be completed at home

Role Responsibilities:
• Ensure highway inspections are carried out within the timeframe as defined in the Code of Practice
• Enforcing, where required, the Highway Act and environmental issues that relate to the highway. 
• Ensure the integrity of the highway boundary and respond effectively.
• prepare technical reports for Members, partners, customers and stakeholders where appropriate
• Deal with customer enquiries and enforcement issues which are problematic and need specific attention
• Carry out condition inspections of public highway in accordance with local arrangements, timeframes and other policy requirements
• Record all condition surveys through Confirm, ensuring accurate detail is recorded about traffic management, and known risks associated with the job or fix requested

The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Highways Inspector accreditation or equivalent
• NRSWA Act 1990 Supervisor
• Traffic Management Qualification (12D T7)
• Evidence of continued learning and development
• Experience working within highways maintenance or civil engineering
• Current legislation, policies and procedures; Highways Act, NRSWA, Traffic Management Act, Traffic Regulation Act, CDM
