A reputable charity that’s supports homeless people based in Surbiton are looking to secure a Team Leader to manage a team which includes Housing and Support Officers, and Housing and Support Assistants for a 1-year fixed term contract.

Salary: £31,895 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays; free use of the health and fitness facilities and a staff discount in restaurants
Contract length: 1-year fixed term contract

Key responsibilities:
• Providing supervision to the Housing and Support team alongside the Housing and Support Manager
• Providing leadership and inspiration to the staff and encouraging an enabling environment
• Supporting the Manager to deliver the housing and support services effectively and efficiently
• Ensure the highest quality support is offered to all residents, which is delivered efficiently and effectively
• Oversee the process of taking referrals, interviewing applicants for housing, and induction of successful applicants, reviews, and on-going support
• Responsibility for managing and championing a high quality, client focussed, and cost-effective support service
• Managing your own caseload of vulnerable homeless clients, carrying out person-centred support plans, monitoring client’s welfare and carrying out wellbeing checks

Essential Criteria:
• Proven experience of previous line management
• Good working knowledge and understanding of homelessness and supporting vulnerable clients
• Have a working knowledge of the Welfare and Benefits system – including Universal Credits
• Ability to proficiently use IT systems, including working with databases, Microsoft office, email, internet
