Housing and Support Officer Vacancy

A well-established charity is currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer to join their team on a Permanent basis in Ealing. This role will focus on supporting vulnerable homeless persons,whilst they stay within temporary accommodation.
Length of contract: Permanent
Hours: 1 x 40 hours and 1 x 20 hours per week on a shift rota including weekends
Shifts: 8:00am – 4:00pm, 10:00am – 6:00pm and 12:00pm – 8:00pm (must be available for all)
Location: Ealing
Salary: £27,175.05 per annum
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver emotional and life skills-based support, assisting service users with day-to-day tasks
- Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users
- Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including low-level anti-social behaviour and rent arrears
- Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting
- Carry out regular estate inspections
- Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements
- Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies
- Manage void properties to ensure the quickest re-let times including carrying out viewings and sign-ups
Essential requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS with the Adults and Children’s lists checked from within the last 3 years or willingness to apply
- Knowledge of working with vulnerable clients with mental health and substance misuse issues
- Working knowledge of support plans and risk assessments
