Interim Housing Assistant/Junior Housing Officer – Immediately Required
Venn Group are urgently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Housing Assistant/Junior Housing Officer for our client, a recognised Housing Association, to provide excellent customer service and housing management to their residents. The Candidate will be joining a successful and already established team to ensure collaborative and exceptional service.
Position: Housing Assistant/Junior Housing Officer
Hours: 36 hours per week
Location: Sutton
Rate: £12 - £16 per hour
Duration: 6 Weeks
Responsibilities:
- Acting as a first point of contact to for customers and visitors; dealing effectively with customer enquiries by phone, email, post and face to face
- Responding appropriately to enquiries, comments or complaints made by residents, relatives and other agencies
- Providing excellent advice and information to residents on all matters in relation to tenancy, Welfare Benefits, Universal Credit, tenancy sustainment and community development
- Acting promptly and professionally to reports of ASB and other breaches
- Responding to reports of domestic abuse and escalating them as necessary
- Make low-level repayment agreements in line with our Rent Arrears Recovery Procedures and escalate high level arrears to the appropriate management
- Enforced arrears recovery policy by undertaking proactive discussions with residents and signpost to help residents maximise their income and reduce debt
- Undertake safeguarding and other referrals in respect of vulnerable residents or residents at risk and report all
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills
- Proven administrative skills
