Pay Rate: £31,397.10 per annum
An opening has arisen for an Housing Officer to be based in Herefordshire with remote working available. Said individual will provide high quality services to customers with particular responsibility for the patch based service delivery of Tenancy & Estate Management, Income Recovery, Anti-Social Behaviour, Partnership working and Community Development Activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Helping to create and sustain safe, productive and happy communities by encouraging residents to take an active interest and role in the places in which they live and by working with them and other partners to identify and deliver improvements
- Promoting a positive image of the organisation through the development of good working relationships with customers, partners and colleagues
- Responsible for effective tenancy management, tenancy enforcement and collection of rental income
- Contribute to the achievement of Housing Services Key performance measures and indicators
- Manage a range of tenure types to ensure compliance with all tenancy conditions
- Manage estates to ensure they are clean, tidy, and places where people want to live
- Work in partnership with external agencies in order to sustain tenancies and communities
- Have and continually develop a detailed understanding of best practice and the legislative framework for dealing with all aspects of tenancy breaches
- Refer and liaise with relevant agencies including making safeguarding referrals, attendance at multi-agency meetings and appropriate referrals to support agencies
- Manage a range of tenure types to ensure compliance with all tenancy conditions
- Manage estates to ensure they are clean, tidy, and places where people want to live
- Work in partnership with external agencies in order to sustain tenancies and communities
- Have and continually develop a detailed understanding of best practice and the legislative framework for dealing with all aspects of tenancy breaches
- Refer and liaise with relevant agencies including making safeguarding referrals, attendance at multi-agency meetings and appropriate referrals to support agencies.
- Represent Connexus at multi-agency meetings and professionals’ meetings
- Record accurate customer data and records via the relevant ICT systems for all cases, ensuring compliance with Data Protection regulations
- Work closely with the voids and lettings team to ensure that properties are let as soon as possible
- Investigate and decide on requests for succession and assignment requests and other changes of tenancy
- Negotiate suitable repayment arrangements using income and expenditure statement to inform decision making
- Manage Anti-Social Behaviour and other tenancy related cases effectively, taking the appropriate action to resolve these cases where needed.
- Assist the Lettings teams in delivering an efficient and effective lettings service, achieving prompt void turnaround of properties
- To negotiate suitable repayment arrangements using income and expenditure statement to inform decision making.
