Housing Support Officer
We are currently working with a reputable charity that offers support to individuals who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness. The postholder will be directly supporting service users from application to resettlement and ensure that licenses are maintained throughout.
Location: March
Hourly Rate: £13.68 per hour (PAYE Inc holiday)
Contract: 3 months temporary to permanent
Hours: 37
Key responsibilities:
- Interviewing potential service users, assessing their needs and suitability for accommodation
- Assessing risks and ensuring Service Users accommodation is safe and secure
- Conducting weekly key works meetings with Service Users
- Assisting with housing applications and benefit applications
- Resolutions of problems with regard to the payment of housing benefits
- Making referrals to specialist services e.g., Mental Health support
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of working with people who have complex needs or are vulnerable
- Full Clean UK Driving License
- Enhanced Adults and Childs DBS
