Venn Group have been approached by a Housing Association and would like to introduce the following position available

Position:          Housing Support Worker

Location:         Keighley & Bradford BD21 5EG

Length:           2 months

Hours:             35 hours p/week

The role will predominantly involve:

• Providing a comprehensive support service to various client groups including drug and alcohol, ex offenders at risk of homelessness in a floating support setting
• Liaising with probation officers, police, drug and alcohol services
• Assisting clients with health needs, hospital / doctors appointments
• Advised clients of their benefit and welfare entitlement and offered advice and guidance on budgeting issues
• Supported clients with other life skills such as cooking
• Signposted clients to relevant agencies to offer them the highest level of support
• Ensuring clients don’t have ASB issues
• Following support plans and risk assessments

The successful candidate must have an Enhanced DBS, be able to drive and be able to start in to the position from next week
