A London based University is recruiting a HR Advisor. This post holder will join a team which provide a HR advisory service to the departments and faculties within the University. Acting as the first point of contact, the role will provide a full range of generalist support.
Job responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of the hourly paid process, including contracts for international students and ensuring compliance
- Advise and support managers on all aspects of core recruitment ensuring each stage of the process is effectively managed
- Support pre-employment checks
- Advise, coach and positively influence managers on all casework relating to sickness absence management
- Provide absence management and administration training to relevant stakeholders
- Support the HR Business Partner on informal and formal ER matters including investigations, disciplinary, grievances, appeals, and employment tribunals
- Support the HRBP in delivery of organisational design and delivery of change management initiatives
- Assist with the embedding of HR Policy
Candidate profile:
- Foundation or student member of CIPD
- Experience of providing support and guidance to managers across a range of HR policies and procedures
- Proven experience of advising and guiding line managers on ER issues
- Experience of working in a unionised environment
- Clear understanding of HR practices and policies
- Experience with end to end recruitment support
Annual salary: £35,625 - £40,848
Contract type: Interim 3 months (with the opportunity to apply for permanent post)
Working hours: Full-time, 35.5 hours per week
Location: London (hybrid working – 2 days on site, 3 days working from home)
