HR Advisor (full and part time positions available)

Job Title: HR Advisor
Rate: £27.50 per hour (inside IR35, via umbrella company)
Hours: Full time OR 18.5 hours per week (2.5 days) – flexible, full days within 08:30–17:00
Contract Length: 6 weeks initially, with potential for extension
Start Date: ASAP
Working Arrangement: Hybrid – minimum two days away from home (office or meetings). Initially mostly office-based to support induction

Job Overview:
This is a short-term, opportunity to join the HR team, providing professional advice, support, and guidance across a range of HR activities. The role involves shaping policy, supporting employee relations, and helping maintain a positive and effective HR service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional advice, support, and training on HR matters within legislative and policy frameworks

• Promote a positive image of the HR service to internal and external customers

• Influence and support the development of employment and performance management culture

• Contribute to HR strategy and policy development across the service

Candidate Requirements:

• Significant experience as a generalist operational HR advisor, handling employee relations at all levels

• Experience working in HR within a Local Authority or other public sector organisation

• Able to work effectively in a hybrid environment, initially office-based to support induction

• Flexible part-time hours across 2.5 full days per week
