HR Business Partner – Banking Client
Our client, a dynamic and fast-paced banking institution based in London, is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner
This engagement offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting key HR functions, including payroll, recruitment.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders, and the ability to navigate complex HR challenges in a highly regulated setting.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a structured yet evolving environment and is ready to make an immediate impact.
Payroll
• Complete end-to-end processing of UK payroll, including reconciliation of reports and clarification of discrepancies
• Provide guidance to staff regarding pay components and clearly communicate variations due to Maternity Leave, Sickness Absence, Parental Leave, or other prorated adjustments
Talent Acquisition
• Manage the full recruitment cycle for positions within the Branch, as assigned by the Head of HR
• Ensure all necessary internal and Group-level hiring approvals are secured, whether roles are within or outside of budget
• Coordinate with recruitment agencies and line managers to schedule interviews, following established instructions
• Keep an up-to-date record of candidate CVs and send acknowledgments to direct applicants in accordance with GDPR regulations
• Take an active role in all stages of the onboarding process for new hires, including background checks
• Ensure accurate and timely management of approval records and employment contract preparation
Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR)
• Oversee and maintain accurate SMCR records to reflect the current status of the Branch’s Senior Management Function
• Keep SMCR documentation audit-ready for potential regulatory reviews
• Collaborate with the UK Compliance team to compile required data for reports on High Earners, Breaches of Conduct, and Training & Competency
• Support Group HR by validating employee data and providing management information for Group-wide reporting
