Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IDVA role within a well-established charity. This will be a hybrid role based in Oxfordshire, working on a full-time basis.
Location: Hybrid working, two days onsite inOxfordshire
Length: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 35hours per week
Main Duties
- Improve the lives and safety of victims and children, by holding high-risk perpetrators to account
- Case management of perpetrators with a co-ordinated multi-agency response
- Strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis with victims/survivors to pro-actively secure engagement
- Offer support to victims and survivors, and link to complementary services
- Work alongside existing agencies to design a co-ordinated individual support and safety plan, addressing identified needs and risks
- Promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours
- Work closely with case managers to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved
Essential requirements:
- Passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Track record of working with complex need service users
- Excellent communication skills and IT literate
