Vacancy – Income Collection Advisor
Location: WFH with occasional travel into Newcastle-under-Lyme
Length: Fixed Term Contract until March 2022
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Pay: £13.00 PAYE Inclusive Of Holiday Pay
Venn Group are currently recruiting for an Income Collection Advisor to support the income team within a large housing association based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Said candidate will be knowledgeable on housing advice and have excellent customer service experience. The desirable candidate would also be available at short notice to start the fixed term contract.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Responsible for contacting customers that are in arrears with their rent to come to satisfactory arrangements to clear their debt
- Contacting customers by telephone and other communication channels
- Offering advice and support to customers to enable them to manage their rent account
- Provide advice on housing benefits, Universal Credit, welfare benefits and support services offered
- Ability to challenge customer behaviour in terms of paying priority debts is essential
- Passion for making a difference to customers lives, excellent communication, negotiation skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding to vulnerable customers
Essential experience/requirements:
- Previous experience in a related role
- A full UK drivers’ license and access to a vehicle
