An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to be part of a Housing Association in Suffolk. You need to understand the importance of early intervention in income recovery and are well-versed in the legal and regulatory framework surrounding tenancy enforcement
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Length: 2 - 3 months temporary
Rate of Pay: £24.00 - £25.00 per hour via an Umbrella company PAYE
Responsibilities:
- Prevent debt escalation by delivering early intervention strategies.
- Liaise with welfare benefit providers, voluntary organisations, and debt advice agencies to support tenants.
- Conduct income and expenditure assessments to establish affordable, realistic repayment plans and monitor compliance.
- Maintain accurate records, rent accounts, and case histories to support reporting and statistical analysis.
- Problem solve and manage complex cases using both legal and non-legal remedies in line with legislation and Solo's policies.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams on tenancy breaches and escalate through appropriate referrals.
- Prepare pre-court documentation in accordance with legal protocols, policies, and legislation.
- Draft legal enforcement documents and manage the process for breach of orders and evictions.
Essential Requirements:
• Experience of income recovery within a Housing Association
• A full UK Driving Licence with access to a car
