Infrastructure Officer
Our client, a NHS organisation based in Central London, is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Officer on a permanent basis who will be working on implementing / deployment, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, support and repair of IT infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
- To lead on the technical management and support of the Trust’s IT Infrastructure, including the capacity, availability and incident management
- Lead on IT Infrastructure projects
- Management and development of day-to-day 2nd/3rd line capability of the Trust’s IT Infrastructure for faults, performance, stability, proactively fixing problems, ensuring security and backup procedures are in place and maintained
- Particular emphasis on server, application and network & telephony environments and associated components
- Project work and the adoption of new technologies in line with business requirements
- Participate in the ICT on-call rota service, ensuring 24hr/365 days a year support for critical ICT systems and infrastructure providing specialist advice to other on-call staff when required
- Document and develop an in-depth knowledge of trust’s existing IT architecture / infrastructure and technology portfolio, developing operational monitoring as required including common, integrated road maps for infrastructure operations
- Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance
Essential Skills/Experience
It is essential for you to be able to demonstrate a broad level of knowledge and experience such as having the ability to demonstrate full Life- Cycle- Development strengths as well as in depth technical skills, supported by industry certifications or equivalent.
Candidates with experience in Cloud migration projects, such as Azure, will be prioritised.
